One of my teachers, Prasad Rangnekar, says that: “Yoga is a life skill.” That is the best description of how I’ve experienced the practice.
It is a physical philosophy based on the 8-limb path presented in The Yoga Sutras of Patañjali.
What to expect. . .
Yoga itself is a huge topic, but what I teach in my yoga classes is specifically yoga asana (postures) and pranayama (breathing practices).
I teach vinyasa yoga which puts a focus on the coordination between breath and movement in postures. My teaching is also greatly influenced by my years of iyengar yoga practice which focuses heavily on alignment.
My classes are beginner friendly and I offer variations and options to accommodate all levels of ability and experience. Props are very important element of my teaching allowing the practice to be much more broadly accessisble.
I have experience teaching yoga classes in a wide variety of settings ranging from offices, yoga studios and also online via zoom. My clients include Tony’s Chocolonely and Médecins Sans Frontières. If you are interested in hiring me to teach at you office please contact me!

"I am very pleased to recommend Shona who has been invited at several occasions for ice-breaking of our team meetings in the Human Resources Department. Often with short notice, Shona facilitated short yoga & meditating sessions at the start of our meetings. She always responded very positively in tailoring a program that would be fit to the audience and the space/time constraints allowing for a very peaceful and dynamic start of our meetings. She is a very reliable instructor and an extremely friendly professional. Her attention to detail makes for a great instructor!"
Jean-Christophe Dollé, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)
